The health and well-being of our campers is important while at camp. At Davern, we focus on balanced nutrition, exercise and healthy eating guided by the Ontario Food Guide (OFG). We know that a balanced diet for our campers will result in a more energetic, healthier and happier children day in and day out! We also do out best to source locally with Ontario Farmers.

The first meal of the day is an important one. Cold cereal and fresh cut fruit is offered alongside hot options that may include eggs, pancakes, waffles, bagels, or French toast.
Lunch is a kid friendly meal that is both nutritious and popular. Examples of lunches include: chicken Caesar wraps, make your own sandwich, falafel, pizza and tuna melts.
Dinner is a great time for everybody to get together, talk about their day and have a hearty and healthy meal and “refuel”. Dinners include: lasagna, shepherds pie, chicken pot pie, BBQ, and taco’s (to name a few). At the end of each week, we have a “camp fancy” banquet. Wear your cleanest t-shirt!
Special Dietary Requirements
Camp will be ALL Gluten Free During Week 4A (Aug 14-20)!
