Looks like dinner is about to be served! YUM!!

The health and well-being of our campers is important while at camp. At Davern, we focus on balanced nutrition, exercise and healthy eating guided by the Ontario Food Guide (OFG). We know that a balanced diet for our campers will result in a more energetic, healthier and happier children day in and day out!

Special Dietary Requirements

Camp Davern strives to support special diets where possible. We offer vegetarian options to campers and are open to discussing dietary needs on a case by case basis. We are a “nut aware” camp – meaning peanuts and tree nuts will not be served, and all care will be taken to avoid “may contain” products wherever possible.
While we are committed to supporting special diets and allergies, due to the diversity of our food service, we cannot guarantee trace nuts will not find their way into the dining hall meals.

Camp will be ALL Gluten Free During Session 4 (Aug 11-23)!

Camp Davern is excited to facilitate a fully gluten free camp experience during August. We call it Camp Celiac. During Session 4, we run a program geared towards supporting children with Celiac Disease. While all campers are encouraged to attend this session, it is our way of being inclusive to a special population of kids. We place extra attention on ensuring a terrific meal plan that is healthy and delicious…it happens to also be gluten free!
